Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Arlington Concert reviews
Audio was fantastic, staging sucked.
I'm a massive Mannheim Steamroller Christmas enthusiast. Since the World Violation Tour, I've attended every tour and have never been let down until now. The playlist and audio were superb, but the individual in charge of the stage lighting should really be let go.
The performance had significant issues with lighting, especially in the areas away from the main stage. Despite having numerous lights, the execution was lacking, with only basic chase patterns utilized. The poorly programmed lighting actually detracted from the overall experience. However, the encores and tribute to Andrew Fletcher stood out as exceptions.
Throughout the show, the large video wall frequently distorted band members with various video effects, which was perplexing. I wanted a clear view of the band members, not distorted silhouettes.
For a truly enjoyable experience, focus on the music and be prepared for a subpar presentation.
